This funding was intended to strengthen Transparency Morocco’s organizational capacity. The Open Society Foundations (OSF) granted it for a two-year period to consolidate the association’s administrative structures and address the recurring challenge of financing fixed costs. The partnership also promoted good governance and enhanced the association’s ability to fight corruption.
Special attention was given to promoting and utilizing new information and communication technologies, including social media, in anti-corruption efforts. To support this, a community manager was hired to manage the association’s new website daily.
The grant also supported the redesign and enhancement of the association’s website to more effectively reflect Transparency Morocco’s work, encourage civic engagement, and serve as a reference for researchers and academics in the field of anti-corruption.
Additionally, the partnership facilitated the development of a fundraising strategy and recruiting a fundraising officer to help target new donors and funders.
