<\/div>[vc_column_text css=””]The “Words of Young People for Accountability”<\/em> project was implemented in several regions of Morocco and involved social actors, artists, and politicians. The action aimed to strengthen the capacities of local associations and elected officials regarding good governance practices, raise awareness among young citizens about the harms of corruption, the importance of accountability, and the fight against impunity, and promote transparency and responsibility in Moroccan politics.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Project Presentation” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:17|text_align:left|color:%233f88c5|line_height:17″ use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”” el_class=”mytitle2″]
<\/div>[vc_column_text css=””]“Paroles de Jeunes pour la Redevabilit\u00e9”<\/em> was a project led by Transparency Morocco in partnership with the Heinrich B\u00f6ll Rabat Morocco Foundation. The initiative launched in 2018 continued in its third phase, which took place over one year, from January 1 to December 30, 2021. Activities engaged social actors, artists, and politicians nationally, with special attention to young academics.[\/vc_column_text]

  • Simplify and popularize the challenges of fighting corruption and related issues such as the right of access to information, sexual corruption, conflicts of interest, and illicit enrichment in the public procurement sector;<\/li>\n
  • Train young people on existing anti-corruption laws and regulations in the project\u2019s targeted sectors;<\/li>\n
  • Disseminate and promote good practices and anti-corruption tools in a clear and accessible manner;<\/li>\n
  • Promote and generate interest in citizen participation;<\/li>\n
  • Foster a culture of dialogue between decision-makers and citizens;<\/li>\n
  • Strengthen the capacities of local associations and elected officials in terms of good practices;<\/li>\n
  • Encourage young people to stand against harmful practices in the management of public funds;<\/li>\n
  • Promote the use of social media as a tool for mobilization and advocacy;<\/li>\n
  • Involve young artists in transparency advocacy;<\/li>\n
  • Capitalize on the awareness materials and productions generated throughout the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Produced and disseminated simplified materials on three core themes: tax transparency, sexual corruption, and the right of access to information;<\/li>\n
    • Raised awareness among a large number of young people about the harms of corruption;<\/li>\n
    • Trained elected officials on the legislative framework of the national budget and gender-sensitive budgeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
