Project Objectives
Overall Objective
- Establish an independent mechanism to ensure the transparent, ethical, and responsible use of resources allocated to reconstruction, in order to effectively meet the needs of communities affected by the earthquake and to prevent any attempts to divert the reconstruction project for private purposes, thereby avoiding risks related to poor governance.
Specific Objectives
- Collect, analyze, and make information available to the public through the press, periodic reports, and citizen meetings;
- Contribute, through information and citizen participation, to the implementation of the reconstruction program in accordance with transparency and good governance principles;
- Raise awareness among the public and stakeholders about governance issues related to the management of funds allocated to the reconstruction project;
- Mobilize and lead advocacy efforts for sustainable reconstruction solutions that benefit local populations and take into account the cultural heritage of the area;
- Promote civil society participation in decision-making related to environmental protection within the post-earthquake reconstruction program;
- Address any potential deviations or corruption within the program;
- Formulate recommendations based on concrete field observations.
